Drummers Defeat Black Mambas, 5-1
|
Tortolita starter Denzel Halford put a stranglehold on the Austin offense. The right-hander had complete command of his curveball in leading the Drummers to a 5-1 win. In 7 innings, Halford surrendered 7 hits, while striking out 10 and walking 0. He allowed 1 run. The Drummers now have a mark of 51-46.
Melchor Tagle contributed to the Tortolita win with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the third. For the game, the second baseman had 3 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 2 singles, 2 runs scored, and 2 runs batted in.
