Brenton Hale left his imprint on the 5-3 Monongahela win against the Santa Barbara Golden Cranes. Hale, who is tied for 10th in the SAAA with a .347 on-base percentage, went 1-4 with a home run and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The victory gives Monongahela a record of 51-35.
Hale had a game-changing home run in the top of the tenth. On a 1-2 fastball from Bryan Griffin, he banged a 2-run home run to left-center, giving the Monsters a 5-3 lead. It was the 11th home run of the year for Hale.
"Our team showed some spunk," said Hale.
