The Austin Black Mambas got a stellar performance from pitcher George Crane, who handcuffed the Monongahela offense en route to a win, 4-2, at Mamba Park. Eric Ramírez notched his 11th save in 13 chances. The victory puts Austin at 27-40.
Crane scattered 1 hit over 8 innings for the Black Mambas. With the win, Crane goes to 2-9 on the year with 90 strikeouts.
"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Crane told the Austin Bulletin.
