Black Mambas Sneak Past Flyers, 2-1

The Austin Black Mambas got a magnificent performance from pitcher Jason O'Rourke, who stifled the Pennsauken offense en route to a 2-1 Black Mambas win at Mamba Park. O'Rourke went 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 3, and struck out 2. His record improves to 2-2. Eric Ramírez earned the save for Austin, his 9th of the year.
The game was at a stalemate until second baseman Francisco Aguilar came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Pennsauken pitcher Carlos Sainz, he hit a 2-2 slider for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Austin on top, 2-1.
Afterward, Black Mambas manager Santiago Rigney was ebullient. "That was a fun game to coach," he told a group of reporters, adding, "I hope it was just as fun to watch."
The Black Mambas go to 21-30, putting them 9th in the Silver AAA.
