The Santa Barbara Golden Cranes thumped the Tortolita Drummers, 9-1, at Crane Field. Carl Hollamby was a big reason his team got the win. Hollamby was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2. Santa Barbara pitcher Larry Larsen got the win, upping his record to 3-0. Mathew Ferguson got the loss. The loss makes Tortolita 20-18.

Roger Smith put Santa Barbara in front, 4-0, when he took Mathew Ferguson downtown. His 3-run home run came with two out in the bottom of the second. It was his 4th home run of the season.
