Flyers Rally to Eke Out Win
Santa Barbara got a decent performance from pitcher Bryan Griffin, but it wasn't enough to beat the Pennsauken Flyers. Pennsauken won the Crane Field contest, 4-3. Griffin threw 7.0 innings of 6-hit ball for the losing team. Carlos Sainz came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 2.2 innings. His record now stands at 1-1. The Flyers sit in 8th place in the Silver AAA with a record of 13-17.

Pennsauken used the timely hitting of Lesmana Layar to capture the win. The left fielder stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the tenth inning to put the Flyers on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but he made it count.

"Good win for us, tough loss for them," said Layar.
