Golden Cranes Beat Monsters, 5-4
The Santa Barbara Golden Cranes picked up a win at Crane Field, knocking off the Monongahela Monsters, 5-4. Starting pitcher Larry Larsen played a key role in the triumph. The Golden Cranes, at 11-12, sit in 6th place in the Silver AAA.

Santa Barbara took a 5-4 lead on Chris Sanders's 1st double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Sanders hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Monongahela pitcher Gerald Currer visibly frustrated.

"We did enough to win," said Sanders.
