Drummers Snag 3-2 Win
|
The Tortolita Drummers took Hartford pitcher Jamie Hunter's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Drummers Ballpark. The final score had Tortolita getting past the Pride, 3-2. Hunter went 6 innings and allowed no runs, striking out 5. Jérôme Fleury picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Yu-eh Wang was tagged with the loss. Rafael Navarro picked up the save, his 5th.
Juan Raspaldo found himself in a pressure situation in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Hartford hurler Yu-eh Wang, the 21-year-old center fielder hit a sacrifice fly. His 6th RBI of the season put the Drummers on top, 3-2.
Raspaldo said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
The Drummers raised their record to 8-10.
