Golden Cranes Deal Flyers 3-1 Loss
The Santa Barbara Golden Cranes topped the Pennsauken Flyers, 3-1, in USSL Triple A action at Pennsauken Park. The game was highlighted by the performance of Santa Barbara pitcher Bryan Griffin. Jasper Smulders was called on to finish, recording his 1st save. The loss drops the Pennsauken record to a disappointing 5-8.

Santa Barbara used the bat of Roger Smith to get the win. The center fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Golden Cranes ahead, 3-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it did its damage.

"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Griffin told the Santa Barbara Chronicle.
