Othman Powers Pride to 6-3 Win
|
The performance of Habib Othman proved critical in helping Hartford beat Austin, 6-3. The Pride center fielder was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Wessel de Best, who went 6 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 2 runs on 5 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 3. His record now stands at 1-0. With the loss, Austin drops to 2-6.
Early in the game, Othman had a 2-run home run for Hartford. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Pride on top, 4-2.
