Pajaritos Saddle Monsters with 5-2 Loss
|
The Norfolk Pajaritos got a good effort from starter Herman Overwater in defeating the Monongahela Monsters at Timber Hawks Ballpark. The final score was 5-2. Overwater went 5.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 1, and struck out 3. His record improves to 1-0. Yu-wei Kum closed the game out for Norfolk, earning his 1st save.
In the top of the sixth, with Norfolk leading 1-0, designated hitter Ricardo López hit a 2-run single. The hit came off Júlio Castillo and put the Pajaritos ahead, 3-0.
"Herman is still learning," said Pajaritos manager José Rodríguez. "The sky's the limit for him."
The Pajaritos, now 2-1, have been playing some good baseball.
