Anderson Stars in 10-6 Squirrel Monkeys Win
The 10-6 Syracuse win over Jersey City was due in large part to Markus Anderson. The Squirrel Monkeys center fielder was 3-5 with 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. The winner was Jeff Morehead, who threw 101 pitches over 7.1 innings. The right-hander was charged with 4 runs on 6 hits. With the win, Syracuse upped its record to 58-43.

Anderson made an early impact for Syracuse when he stroked his 9th home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which came in the top of the third, put the Squirrel Monkeys on top, 5-0.
