The Alaskan Humpbacks powered past the Sacramento Redlegs, 9-1, at Sacramento Sanitation Station. Gage Jump was 2-3 with 2 home runs and 2 walks. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice, to lead the charge. José Franco, the winner, improved to 4-1. He held the Redlegs to 1 run on 2 hits over 5 innings, while striking out 8 and walking 0. Poom Saksansin picked up the save, his 5th.

With Alaskan leading 2-1 in the top of the third, Jump hit a fastball from Dylan Kempink for a 3-run home run. It was his 15th home run of the season and put the Humpbacks ahead, 5-1.

"We maximized our offense today," said Alaskan skipper Kelly Flint. "That makes everyone's life easier."

Alaskan, now 61-40, holds down second place in the Premier AAA.
