Reynaldo Cruz was instrumental in his team's 7-5 triumph over the Hialeah Dodos. The first baseman went 3-5 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Sacramento Redlegs. Sacramento, at 43-49, holds down 8th place in the Premier AAA.

Sacramento took the lead on Cruz's 11th home run of the season. The solo home run, which came against Eric Hurt in the top of the seventh, made the score 6-5, Sacramento.

"It wasn't our best performance," said Cruz, "but a win in this league is nothing to sniff at."
