Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Athletic Club KC Reserves and Baton Rouge Brass.
The Athletic Club KC Reserves picked up a win at KC Reserve Stadium, knocking off the Baton Rouge Brass, 5-3. Starting pitcher Jamie Miller played a key role in the triumph. Miller picked up the win for Athletic Club KC, going 6 innings. He gave up 3 runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 10-2. Logan Heck was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 17 of 18 save opportunities.
David Alcabú hit a run-scoring triple off Kane Hallworth in the bottom of the first, which put the Reserves in front, 1-0. Alcabú had 1 single, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 2 for 4.
"I really like what we did out there today," Miller said after the game.
With the victory, the Reserves upped their record to 49-42.
