Rainbeaus Mow Down Redlegs, 9-1
The Kansas Rainbeaus topped the Sacramento Redlegs by the score of 9-1, with the largest share of the credit going to catcher Pablo Morterero. Morterero went 3-3 with 3 singles and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Rainbeaus. Kansas reliever Kevin Hamm picked up the win, upping his record to 4-2. Gian-Carlo Maneilli took the loss. The Rainbeaus raised their record to 43-45.

The Rainbeaus got a big hit from left fielder Roberto Pérez. In the bottom of the fifth, Pérez pounded a 3-run home run to right. His 6th home run of the season put the Rainbeaus ahead, 8-1.

"The name of the game is scoring runs," Pérez said. "We did a good job of that today."
