The Alaskan Humpbacks beat the Hialeah Dodos, 6-3, at Dodos Ballpark. Alaskan third baseman Norberto Carrillo had an outstanding performance. He went 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Alaskan reliever Alonso Salazar was the winner. His record is now 6-1. Ricardo Corona took the loss. The win makes Alaskan 49-38.
With one out in the top of the seventh, Darren Gordam had a game-changing hit. The Humpbacks shortstop slammed a run-scoring single off André Noël, making the score 4-2, Alaskan.
"Win or lose, we always try to grind it out and stay even-keeled," Carrillo said in reaction to the win.
