Starks Go Down to Defeat, 7-3
|
Hialeah took on Syracuse in front of a lively crowd.
Hialeah picked up a win at Stark Stadium, toppling the Syracuse Starks, 7-3. Pitcher Robert Joubert was one of the reasons the Dodos triumphed. Joubert, the winner, moves to 2-3. He threw 7.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 7 and giving up 1 walk.
Rich Dalzell, the Hialeah center fielder, contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning to make the score 1-0, Dodos. For the game, Dalzell was 2 for 5 with 2 singles.
"Baseball is about momentum," said Dalzell, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
At 29-51, Hialeah is in last place in the Premier AAA.
