Good production from designated hitter Taroemon Nishii helped the Salt Lake City Buzz topple the Baton Rouge Brass, 8-4. Nishii went 2-4 with a triple, while scoring 2 and driving in 4 for the Buzz. The winner in relief was Ángel López. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2.1 innings. He now owns a record of 2-2. Salt Lake City leads the Premier AAA by 4 games.

Nishii had a timely hit for Salt Lake City in the bottom of the seventh. With Baton Rouge trailing 4-3, he turned a 1-0 curveball into a bases-clearing triple. It was his 1st triple of the season, making it 6-4, Salt Lake City.

"I like the roll we're on right now," said Nishii after the game.
