New Orleans got a strong outing from Marty Taylor as the Voodoo defeated the Hollywood Shredders, 4-2, at The Voodoo Lounge. Earning his 8th save for New Orleans was Tim Strong. New Orleans is now 23-23, Hollywood 22-24.

Brad Stannard had a critical at-bat with two out in the bottom of the sixth for New Orleans. He came through with a run-scoring single to put New Orleans in front, 4-2.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Stannard. "And not try to do too much."
