Jersey City got a strong outing from Sean Murphy as the Tritons defeated the Syracuse Starks, 2-0, at Jersey City Grounds. The save went to Jonathan Young, number 7 for him. Jersey City is now 40-34.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the bottom of the seventh, with the game tied, Ernesto Fernández was at the plate when Jersey City scored 2 on an error. The miscue enabled the Tritons to go in front, 2-0.

"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Murphy said after the game.
