The Mercer Island Screaming Eagles trumped the Lake Minnetonka Love Boats, 7-2, at Mercer Island Grounds. Mercer Island first baseman Charles Barnes was terrific. He was 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs. The win was credited to Paul Kartodirdjo in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Jeffrey Wilson took the loss. With the loss, Lake Minnetonka is 0-2.

With Mercer Island leading 3-1 in the bottom of the fifth, Alberto Hernández hit a 2-run single off Lake Minnetonka pitcher Jeffrey Wilson. It put the Screaming Eagles ahead 5-1.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Hernández told the Mercer Island Bulletin.
