Salt Lake City Gets 7-2 Win
|
The Salt Lake City Buzz grabbed a win, 7-2, over the Sacramento Redlegs at Sacramento Sanitation Station. Salt Lake City right fielder Taroemon Nishii went 1-2 with a home run and 3 walks. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2. Masao Myoga, the winner, improved to 4-3. He held the Redlegs to 1 run on 5 hits over 7 innings, while striking out 10 and walking 1. Salt Lake City goes to 38-29, Sacramento to 31-36.
Jay-man Yu dealt the Redlegs a blow in the top of the fifth. Batting with the bases loaded and Salt Lake City leading 2-1, Yu hit a 0-1 fastball for a 2-run single.
"Feels good to get the job done," Yu said after the game.
