Redlegs Snag 7-3 Win
The Sacramento Redlegs relied on the hitting of pinch hitter Jorge Rodríguez to stop the Syracuse Squirrel Monkeys, 7-3. For the game, Rodríguez went 1 for 1 with a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Tetsuyuki Ando picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 2-3. Tommaso Cugnoni was tagged with the loss. Their 31-34 record puts the Redlegs 7th in the Premier AAA.

Rodríguez had a game-changing double in the top of the ninth. On a full count fastball from Harold Hunter, he banged a bases-clearing double to center, giving the Redlegs a 6-3 lead. It was the 2nd double of the year for Rodríguez.

"We were the better team today. Maybe that won't be the case next game, but we'll enjoy it for now," Rodríguez told the Sacramento Gazette.
