Sacramento Redlegs starter Flavio Lapo was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Hialeah Dodos, 8-2. The 7th-place Redlegs lifted their record to 27-31.

Sacramento took control in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Jon Himes hit a 2-run single to make it 3-1, Redlegs.

"Good team win," Lapo said. "I love it when a plan comes together."
