Brass Field was the site of a tense game between the Baton Rouge Brass and Sacramento Redlegs.
Dylan Kempink was in top form in a low-scoring contest between Sacramento and Baton Rouge. The Redlegs right-hander helped his team beat the Brass, 3-1. Félix Hernández earned save number 15 this season.
Yoshihide Tanaka helped the cause in the top of the seventh. With a runner on 1st, he hit a single. His at-bat contributed to the Sacramento win.
"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Sacramento manager John Brown said.
Sacramento is now 25-29, Baton Rouge 29-25.
