Rainbeaus Squelch Tritons Offense in Shutout Win
|
Pitching was the name of the game in a tight contest between the Kansas Rainbeaus and the Jersey City Tritons. Kansas won it, 3-0. Kansas starter Miguel Aguirre was in command. Aguirre picked up the win for Kansas, going 6 innings. He gave up no runs on 2 hits. He now sports a record of 2-2. António Vázquez sewed up the save, his 10th.
In the bottom of the fourth, Kansas third baseman Charles Stevenson had a productive at-bat. With runners on 1st and 3rd and two out, Stevenson stroked a run-scoring single to center. It made the score 2-0, Kansas. For the game, he went 1 for 5.
