The fans at Milton Corner Tavern witnessed quite a game.

Milton Dogfish Head starter Guy Riggs turned in a sterling performance against the Ellenburg Fighting Dachshunds, leading his team to a slim 3-2 win. The winner in relief was David Blake. He is now 7-3. The left-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings.

Jorge Pérez electrified the crowd in the bottom of the 11th when he took Ellenburg pitcher Nelson Carrasco deep. His solo home run sent the Dogfish Head home winners.

"Not to put too fine a point on it," said Pérez, "but we really needed that win."

With the win, Milton raised its record to 55-44.
