Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for Men
|
The Florida Men took Port Royal pitcher Edmund Rochefort's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Ballpark of Port Royal. The final score had Florida getting past the Disaster, 6-2. Rochefort went 5.2 innings and allowed 1 run, striking out 5. The victory puts Florida at 40-58.
Florida used the timely hitting of Ramiro Castillo to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Men on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"Like I've always said, I'm the straw that stirs the drink," Castillo said (again).
