Clark Helps Jersey City Edge Salt Lake City

Led by Rod Clark, the Jersey City Tritons defeated the Salt Lake City Buzz, 4-3. Clark was 3 for 4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice for the Tritons. Marty Logan earned the win after being called from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings. He upped his record to 2-0. The Tritons saw their win-loss record go to 29-21. At the same time, the Buzz fell to 27-23.
Clark had a timely hit for Jersey City in the top of the eighth. With Salt Lake City trailing 3-2, he turned a first pitch curveball into a 2-run home run. It was his 9th home run of the season, making it 4-3, Jersey City.
Clark attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
