Starting pitcher Marty Taylor did his part in helping the New Orleans Voodoo thwart the Athletic Club KC, 1-0. Taylor picked up the win for New Orleans, going 6.2 innings. He gave up no runs on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 4-2. The Voodoo saw their win-loss record go to 21-21. At the same time, the Athletic Club KC fell to 14-28.
Tied up with the Athletic Club KC in the top of the fourth inning, the Voodoo got a boost from second baseman Kolby Hay. With runners on 1st and 3rd, Hay saw a 2-2 changeup from Conor March and hit a run-scoring single to break the stalemate and put New Orleans on top, 1-0.
