Buzz Suffer 4-0 Loss to Kansas
|
Starting pitcher Bernard Miller had a solid game. He was a big reason the Kansas Rainbeaus throttled the Salt Lake City Buzz, 4-0. Miller, now 4-1, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 6, walking 3, and allowing no runs. The win puts the Rainbeaus at 13-17, while the Buzz drop to 17-13.
Jason Durkin, the 27th overall pick in the 2039 draft, contributed to the Kansas win with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the designated hitter had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 RBI.
"Bernard is tough when he's hitting his spots," said Kansas manager Jim Thornton.
