Red Pandas Take Down Knights, 4-1

The Nolensville Knights and Sioux Falls Red Pandas were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.
The Sioux Falls Red Pandas went home winners at Nolensville Park, thanks in large part to starter Nathan Sims. Sims stifled the Nolensville Knights, enabling Sioux Falls to grab the 4-1 win. The winning pitcher was Sims, now 2-1. He tossed 6.2 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 2.
Sioux Falls used the timely hitting of Mike Johnstone to capture the win. The first baseman socked a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Red Pandas ahead, 3-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.
"This is a great group to be a part of, and it's a big win for us," Johnstone told the Sioux Falls Observer.
Sioux Falls is now 45-41, while Nolensville is 48-38.
