The Baton Rouge Brass topped the Hialeah Dodos, 4-3, in USPL Triple A action at Dodos Ballpark. The standout performance belonged to Baton Rouge pitcher and Oakland, California, native Herb Willis. Baton Rouge reliever Ronnie Gómez picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Clyde Sparks was saddled with the loss. The 9th-place Dodos have dropped 7 straight games.

Gökhan Özdemir, the 24-year old first baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Özdemir contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the 11th inning to put Baton Rouge up, 4-3.
