Brass Suffer 3-2 Loss to Tritons
|
The Jersey City Tritons beat the Baton Rouge Brass, 3-2. Jersey City pitcher and New York, native Mike Bergquist led the way. Bill Mitchell was credited with the save for Jersey City, his 5th of the season. Jersey City now owns a record of 13-14.
Jersey City relied on the hitting of Júlio Salazar to pick up the win. The designated hitter ripped a run-scoring triple in the top of the fifth inning to put the Tritons on top, 2-0. For the game, Salazar had 1 triple and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"No time for flexing," said Salazar. "It's always one game at a time."
