The Hamilton Thunderbirds topped the Ellenburg Fighting Dachshunds, 6-3, in M3L Triple A action at Coyote Wildlife Refuge. The game was highlighted by the performance of Hamilton pitcher Raúl Martínez. Martínez went 6.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 2, and struck out 5. His record improves to 5-5. The win elevated the Thunderbirds to 48-35.

Hamilton catcher Abdul-Alim Nadeem went deep in the bottom of the fourth. His solo home run off Ellenburg pitcher Cecil Drabek put the Thunderbirds in front, 4-2. It was his 11th home run of the season.
