The Syracuse Starks beat the Baton Rouge Brass, 6-3. Syracuse pitcher and Chengdu, China, native Zuo-lin Liang led the way. Syracuse reliever Cisco García picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Ronnie Gómez shouldered the loss. With the win over Baton Rouge, the Starks improved to 8-16.

Syracuse used the timely hitting of Warren King to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Starks on top, 5-3. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Everything felt in sync," said Liang.
