The Port Huron Blitzkrieg picked up a win at Port Huron Park, taking down the Florida Men, 5-4. Starting pitcher Laurent Schweitzer was a big reason why. In 6.1 innings, Schweitzer surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 1. He allowed 3 runs. Port Huron, now 35-44, holds down 9th place in the Menard's AAA.

The Blitzkrieg got an important contribution from right fielder Naomichi Kodo, who in the bottom of the third knocked a 0-1 slider into right for a 3-run home run. It was his 12th home run of the season and put the Blitzkrieg ahead, 4-0.

"Laurent was throwing free and easy," said Port Huron manager Harris Bailey.
