84s, Alfonzo Deal Rainbow Mermaids 1-0 Setback
Pitcher Augusto Alfonzo was sensational for the Greenville 84s in his team's 1-0 triumph over the Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids. Alfonzo picked up the win, and it was well-earned. Sixto Bustamante finished the game for Greenville and earned his 4th save. Greenville has now won 4 games in a row.

Alfonzo ran roughshod over the Northern Virginia lineup. The left-hander allowed just 4 hits over 8 innings, while striking out 9. With the victory, he goes to 4-0 on the season.

"We're in a funk and we need to shake ourselves out of it," said Northern Virginia manager David Lister.
