Thunderbirds Lay Egg, Lose 12-2 to Sioux Falls
The Sioux Falls Red Pandas put together a convincing win at The Bamboo Forest, defeating the Hamilton Thunderbirds, 12-2. Ken Francis was one of the hitting stars. He went 2-2 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for Sioux Falls. With the win, Sioux Falls upped its record to 33-30.

With one out in the bottom of the fourth, Alonso Romo barreled up a slider from Raúl Martínez. The result was a grand slam home run, putting the Red Pandas in front, 6-1.

"They took us to the woodshed," said Hamilton manager Leonard Hall.
