Disaster Top Milton, 1-0
|
Juan Cruz pitched well enough to win, but it was not to be. The Milton Dogfish Head, despite Cruz's fine outing, dropped a 1-0 decision to the Port Royal Disaster at Ballpark of Port Royal. Liu-liang Liu snagged the win in relief. In 2.2 innings, the right-hander allowed no runs on no hits. He's now 1-0 on the season. The triumph puts Port Royal at 36-22 for the season.
Esteban Burr was the walk-off hero for Port Royal. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Disaster right fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring double to send the teams home.
"I just try to bring what I bring to this team," said Burr.
