Fighting Dachshunds Walk It Off for 32nd Win of Season
The Ellenburg Fighting Dachshunds had to overcome a fine effort from Port Huron pitcher Steve Sanford to grab a narrow 4-3 win at Dog Park in Ellenburg. Sanford went 6 innings and allowed 1 run. Ellenburg is now 32-24.

Jim Medrano, who leads the 3AAA in stolen bases with 18, won the game with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the ninth. In the contest, the Ellenburg first baseman drove in one run.

"I like the grit of this ballclub," Medrano said.
