Disaster Get Past Nolensville for 4-3 Win
|
The Port Royal Disaster did just enough to secure a victory over the Nolensville Knights, 4-3, at Nolensville Park. Nobody did more than pitcher Katsumoto Ine. Reliever Dave Carroll picked up the win. His record improves to 2-0. Alejandro Colón took the loss. Port Royal now has a 3-game win streak.
The result might have been different for Port Royal, had it not been for Edgar González, the 22-year old first baseman . González stroked a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the ninth inning to put Port Royal up, 4-3. For the game, he had 1 double and 1 single in 3 at-bats.
González told a Port Royal Daily reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
