The Plymouth Rocks got a good effort from starter Gudrat Tumanov in defeating the Port Huron Blitzkrieg at Port Huron Park. The final score was 2-0. Eugene Pearce collected save number 11. The win lifted the Plymouth record to 22-22.

Plymouth used the timely hitting of Luis Miguel Monteblanco to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Rocks on top, 2-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Sometimes a win comes easy," Tumanov told the Plymouth Daily News. "And sometimes you have to scratch and claw."
