Ellenburg beat Port Royal on the strength of starter Josh Gentry's fine effort. The left-hander led his team to a win, 5-1. Gentry, now 5-3, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 5, walking 3, and allowing 1 run. Bernardo Hernández collected his 10th save.

The Disaster had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Fighting Dachshunds going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 29-year old shortstop Francisco Rojas came to the plate. Rojas hit a 2-run double on a 1-1 sinker from Port Royal hurler Scott Morrison. It was Rojas's 3rd double of the year.

"I thought we played a nice game," Rojas told the Ellenburg Daily News. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."

The 8th-place Fighting Dachshunds improved to 18-22.
