Lake Monsters Rocked By Thunderbirds, 10-1

The Hamilton Thunderbirds used an offensive barrage to beat the Vermont Lake Monsters, 10-1, at Monster Field. Ed Reese led the way, going 2-for-4 for Hamilton. Hamilton starter Benoît Lambert was credited with the win after throwing 107 pitches over 8.1 innings. His record now stands at 4-0. The loss makes Vermont 16-23.
Reese had a big hit for Hamilton with one out in the top of the eighth. With Hamilton leading 4-1, Reese hit a grand slam home run. It was his 8th home run of the season and put the Thunderbirds up, 8-1.
"It was full throttle on our side," said Reese.
