The Hamilton Thunderbirds and Sunset District Fog provided some drama for the home crowd.

The Sunset District Fog picked up a win at Coyote Wildlife Refuge, taking down the Hamilton Thunderbirds, 2-1. Starting pitcher Kevin Rietmulder was a big reason why. Marvin McDermott, now 1-0, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings.

Sunset District used a clutch hit from Clive Swanton to snatch the win. The right fielder belted a solo home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Fog ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit, but it was huge.

"We were in it," said Hamilton manager Leonard Hall. "We just didn't score enough runs."

With the win, Sunset District upped its record to 21-13.
