Knights Deal Thunderbirds 5-1 Setback
|
The Nolensville Knights got a stellar performance from pitcher Jim Hunter, who handcuffed the Hamilton offense en route to a win, 5-1, at Nolensville Park. Nolensville, now 17-15, holds down 6th place in the Menard's AAA.
The Knights got an important contribution from third baseman Jean-François Gauthier, who in the bottom of the fourth punched a full count fastball into right for a 2-run home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Knights ahead, 3-1.
Gauthier said his team "played with determination."
