The Hamilton Thunderbirds picked up a win at Dog Park in Ellenburg, taking down the Ellenburg Fighting Dachshunds, 2-1. Starting pitcher Benoît Lambert was a big reason why. Lambert picked up the win for Hamilton, going 7.1 innings. He gave up 1 run on 8 hits. He now sports a record of 1-0. With the win, Hamilton improves its record to 13-6.
Abdul-Alim Nadeem tagged a home run off Anastasio Ayala in the top of the third. His 2-run blast put the Thunderbirds on top, 2-1. In all, Nadeem had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 3.
