Disaster Earn 2-1 Win Against Blitzkrieg
|
In a low-scoring contest, Port Royal pitcher Rubén López was marvelous in his team's 2-1 win. Port Royal reliever Harvey Caldwell picked up the win to move to 1-0. Cristo Sánchez suffered the loss. With the loss, Port Huron falls to 3-7.
Runs were scarce in this one. So, Bryan Spilsbury's at-bat in the top of the 11th was vitally important. With one out, the Port Royal catcher hit a sacrifice fly, to give his team a 2-1 lead.
"This is a resilient bunch," said Port Royal manager Austin Case.
